This is the PSP HDMI converter I have found to work best with the PSP 2000 and 3000 models. I have tested 6 different PSP converters, some of which look the exact same on the outside as this one. However this one is the only one that has such a complex board under the hood. (I have found cables where they cut 3 of the connectors to the board from the PSP... So not all cables are made equal.
 
Notice: while testing cables, I spent some time swapping around micro usb cables, and found that for some reason using a cable that works for one converter does not work on another. So please make sure to use the micro usb cable that comes with this purchase. 
 
These converters look fine if you are just trying to enjoy your PSP and you don't want a perfect image. There is still a slight box around the display. take a look at the screen shot above. You can check out this link to the gallery though to see a better comparison with a high end retro upscaler. I recommend an upscaler for the best experience but please feel free to test and try options out for yourself.
